Views of Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula. . .and beyond
The bluff
An evening walk along the Dungeness bluffs yields a view of the Dungeness Spit in the distance.

That looks like a great place for a walk! Can you get right out to the end of the spit?
You can get almost to the end of the spit. It’s about a mile and a half from this spot to the bluff above it. Then you can walk down to the spit. It’s five miles to the end. You can see that it’s quite narrow in spots, so low tides help. The New Dungeness Lighthouse is nearly at the end of the spit and beyond that is a wildlife refuge that’s off limits.
Have I ever seen a “spit” before? I don’t think so…thanks for posting this.

spit is a new word for me!
