Enjoy your holiday Kay! We had one last week-end, though truth be told, being retired means every day is a long week-end!
what a pretty flower. you are really into flowers i see!
i do find it weird that everyone says “happy memorial day” while what the day observes is not that happy…..
we are traveling back to boston and the lady in the shuttle told us not to forget the moment of silence at 12 o’clock. i didnt even know that there was a moment of silence!
“Happy Memorial Day” struck me as odd, too, CaT, as I wrote it for the header. I included it since lots of people seem to use it. It might be more relevant to say “Enjoy your day off, but don’t forget why you have it. . .”
Yes, a walk through the cemetery with the flags flying is a wonderful observance of the day.
