I think this mailbox on Marine drive is cute. Makes me think it belongs to happy people.

I hope no teens with mail box destruction in their heads get the idea to knock this box off as it would damage the image holding it up. Is it a tree stump carved by a chain saw?
Thatr *is* a really cute mailbox. I have not seen nearly as creative mailboxes down here in Austin, Texas. The unusual ones I’ve noticed here are usually set in limestone, or maybe have a fun painting. 🙂
You’ve a been Eye than me, I haven’t seen this one yet!
You have a BETTER EYE than me…..YIKES.
Makes me happy to look at it!
Pat, I think if it has been there before that it recently must have got a paint job or spiffed up because I hadn’t noticed it before either and we go down there all the time.
Abraham, I’m not sure. I share your hope, that would be plain evil to do something like that.
Maybe if you create a happy mailbox like that you won’t get any nasty old bills. How nice to create something that prompts smiles! (I haven’t been on Marine Drive lately, but I think I would have noticed that box before, too.)
Next time we’ll take a drive on Marine Drive. I missed it on our recent visit. Dang!
