And no, those posts showing on Ocala DP aren’t hitching posts. This is a area of new shopping centers. Downtown Ocala, however, has some hitching posts. Don’t think they’re used much anymore, however.

You take some really nice photos. I especially like the old barn. I always try to imagine who lived or worked at or in the places I see. What was their lives like?
I noticed you follow the Brookville Daily Photo. I have never met Abe but we have talked (emailed) and he has helped me identify some bird species. He’s quite a unique guy. We live about 3 miles apart for nearly 20 yrs. but never met or ran into each other, not that we know of.
I know someone not to close to you but out your way. They are in Bend, OR. Gini and John, great people. Lucky them and you for living in some beautiful country.
