I posted about him last month. I was driving by his field and the site of him stopped me in the road, he is such a pretty horse. I couldn’t get close because it was a private entrance, but this time driving by I saw the owners there so I went in and asked if I could take a picture of him up close and they were friendly and let me. He is so much bigger up close than I was expecting! I was really excited to get to pet him. They told me he a Belgian Draft horse retired from working in Solvang California. He recently lost his partner of 18 years. He had three other horses with him and when she brought him to me, they all came too. What a dream to be able to have horses like that.

Oh Shannon! Lucky YOU!!!! Horses are wonderful to pet, they have such large liquid eyes. Did you get photos of the other horses? And did they have names?? He is a beautiful creature!
What a good looker! I am sure he has it much better here than in Solvang!
Pat, I remembered the other horses names at the time and greeted them, but the only name I remember now is Molly. It was a pretty quick meeting. I wish I knew the owners personally, I’d go pet all the horses often or take care of them when they were away.
Siegfried, they all looked very well taken care of and the owners were really good with them. They have a big field and covered area so I think they have a pretty nice life here.
Gorgeous horse! Sounds like somebody needs her own horse, and soon! 🙂
I’ve surfed the net (does that age me?) for things Sequim and just found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5NhCF8D3bA&NR=1

What a treat to meet him! Thank you for sharing a close-up! A truly gorgeous guy!
