We saw a whale last night at the Dungeness Spit Rec area. It was the first time we’ve seen one there since we lived here so it was pretty exciting. The guy next to us said it’s a gray whale , but I am not brushed up on the different whale types.

Wow! I’d be excited too. I have seen grays at Langley on Whidbey and it is ALWAYS exciting. Lucky you. MB
Nice shot! It does look like a gray whale. I haven’t seen a whale all summer, but if I did, I probably wouldn’t have my camera with me.
We had one in our bay a few years back. Stayed about a week. Was quite an attraction.
Lovely shot, the water looks nice and flat too. We are interested in whale sightings if you see any others out there.
Cheers!

What a exciting Day! You are very lucky to see it AND then to capture it on film!
How truly exciting! I wish I had been a mouse in your pocket. I never get over the excitement of seeing a whale.
Wow!
I’ve never sees a whale.
Nice shot!
It’s great to see it in a photo, but how cool it must have been for you to actually have been there to see it.
