This thing landed on me and was in no hurry to go anywhere, no matter how many times I poked at it or examined it (yes, I washed my hands after.) It looks like a grasshopper, just different than the ones I’ve seen.

Hubby agrees its a grasshopper, not that he’s an expert. I believe that some Asian cultures consider them good luck.
Grasshoppers frighten me a bit….me who is not afraid of tarantulas or snakes. I think it’s how they HOP in the opposite direction that you expect them to! And they look a bit prehistoric?
Yep…it’s a grasshopper. Bebe was having great fun chasing them in the yard.
