I recall going to the post office (many, many years ago) to pick up our mail-ordered baby chicks. We lived out in the country and our Rurual Route delivery did not include baby chickens! It was quite an event to go to town to pick them up. Ours was not the only order. . .the post office was a noisy place with all the cheeping chicks awaiting their new owners.
