The kids and I went to a fund raiser this evening for “The Women of the Corn”, a sewing cooperative in Chiapas, Mexico, supported by a group here in Sequim. (See article) The food was good and I was the happy high bidder on two photographs. One, a limited framed edition by documentary photographer, Annie P. Warren, depicts Cristina, a market vendor in San Cristobal de las Casas. I’ll always be a supporter of those who make education for others possible.

In content this is a sophisticated but subdued altar for el día de los muertos, and the colours are beautiful! I like it very much, Norma!
