At the intersection of the Dungeness River Bridge on East Anderson Road, you will find the Old Dungeness School House. Although the events section has not been kept up to date, if you click on the link, you can visit and read about an important part of the past here on the Sequim Prairie.
P.S. Regarding yesterday’s post, it has been pointed out to me that ‘Bessie” has horns…could it be that Bessie is a boy? On a closer look at my photo, I see no evidence of a “bag”, as in udder. Goodness!
Norma,
It has been a very, very long time since I lived on a farm, but if I am not mistaken female cows have horns.
Female cows can have horns. And male cows can have udders. Who knew?
Your sky looks like mine today, though there’s no bell tower in view here.
LOL, Norma! Those two are boys. Look at their bellies, see that “thingy”? 🙂
Beautiful photo — love the sky. Great mood. And the red provides a nice focal point.
Well Norma, you really started a discussion with yesterdays post. I didn’t know males could have udders.
Love the picture of the school and the information.
Lovely muted colours.
