Now what would Sequim be with out the Sequim Elk on its signs? This one, close to Stone Statuary on West Sequim Bay Road, points the way to all kinds of places I’ve shown you before. At the time of writing this post, there were 106 bloggers around the world who are ready to share their world with you. As always, times zones differ, so visit often.

September Theme Day…A Street Light or Street Sign
uim
What a fun and interesting sign–I wish we had ones that were a little less utilitarian overall. 🙂
Nice sign, lovely photo. Happy theme day !
This is an original sign!
What a pretty sign – nice photo. So different to see something so personal to a city on top.
This sign brings back memories of your past photos.
The elk atop the sign makes it unique and special. Have a good week-end!
Gee, John Wayne seems sort of out of place at a marina.
Maybe the sign honors a different John Wayne?
What a classic, not bad at all! And you visited me when maybe I failed to get on the theme list!!
Quite a unique sign! I like this.
Hmmmmm… I think I’ll turn left and take a stroll through downtown Sequim. Nice sign! 🙂
that’s an elk is it? It looks just like the one on Alice’s Arradon post – where I thought it was a reindeer – maybe she’s been visiting you.
How unique! I wonder what symbol Montego Bay would use if we were to have such unique signs as this? Hmm…
Hello! Congratulations on 365 posts (I’m a little late on that!) and a terrific photoblog. I like the subject you chose for Theme Day, perfectly representative of Sequim and the Oly Pen.
This is such a fantastic sign! I love the elk. What a great touch for Sequim to give it’s city signs! Your photos always make me feel like I’ve been there, but it’s only through your lens. One of these days we Pacific Northwest CDP folks are going to have to get together for a day of fun. . .

I wonder if John Wayne knew he had a marina named after him?
Nice doggie 😉
Norma, I always enjoy your shots of your city. I know that someday I’m going to make it to Sequim and see it for myself.
Have a great Holiday.
Sue
If there were signs like that in Malaysia, there would be a tiger instead of an elk.The tiger has always symboled strength.
Thanks for stopping by my site. I’ve seen these while walking around town, nice local flavor!

thanks for your visit.
The sign is very funny !
Elks look so cool, though I’ve never seen one in real life. One would probably scare me!
Does all post have that moose thingy on top of it?
Very nice 🙂
very cute- very cute —I love the moose!
Love the sign!

ELK! I was thinking reindeer. Or moose. Thanks for the clarification. Very northwesty — or at least the Northwest in my imagination. 🙂
