Unlike my little operation, The lavender farms have ingenious but simple methods to dry the lavender. These chains are suspended from the ceiling of the barn at Angel Farm. As you can see in the thumbnail, bundles are then hung to dry and fans are turned in to circulate the air. This helps prevent mold and mildew. They made a perfect backdrop for a visitor showing off her new lavender wreath.

sur la premiere photo on dirait un lustre de lavande, et sur la deuxieme une grotte à lavande ;o) surprenant
on the first photograph one would say a gloss of lavender, and on the second a cave with lavender; O) surprising
I didn’t know you dry it.
I guess whether old or new, lavender is a treat!
So ingenious! Are those wreaths expensive? Around here a 14-in fresh lavender wreath sells for ~$60.
Oh man! Inside of that drying house must smell heavenly! I adore lavender.
Lavender “icicles” how delightful.
