A Sure Sign of Fall

Here in Sequim, pumpkins of assorted sizes, shapes and colors are starting to show up in stores. I was particularly struck by the shade of these when I ran across them today at the local country store, Sunny Farms. Locals shop here for the freshest veggies, fruits, and meat. I like the way the people in the deli take care of me. Occasionally I will have quilters come and stay for a weekend. I call their sandwich orders in and then go and pick them up in about 30 minutes. My guests love them…no fuss, no muss. Their soups are excellent, also.
